Happy Birthday Maggie! (June 5)

The only way Solomon would eat was with Maggie feeding him. This was at the hospital cafeteria.

This was our first activity when we arrived at the hotel at 2am.

Little late getting this posted, but the photos were on Mom's camera, and I just downloaded them. Her birthday was eventful. We had fun meeting Ben and Mary-Margaret's friends and all their kids. Nana was so sick. She was sick before the drive to Atlanta, but swore she would be better, so we drove down anyway. She only got worse. She spent her time in Ben's bed during the birthday party. We decided that we should probably take her to the hospital before the long drive home. Dad and Laura took her to Emory Hospital that evening. She didn't get to go home until Wednesday! Emory hospital was wonderful. The doctors came in all the time, the nurses were immediately there when she pushed the button. Surprisingly they didn't shove Dad's (pop pop) thermometer up his butt. He is the best nurse. He came prepared to Atlanta with a thermometer in his pocket and all of the lab work mom had done in Wynne. Mom's doctor in Wynne diagnosed her with Lyme's Disease and had already begun treatment before we left, but it hadn't had time to work. She got so dehydrated and had liver problems that she got worse and worse. Emory agreed with the diagnosis and continued with the treatment. By the time she got home she felt like a new person.

Back to precious Maggie. She was the perfect host and enjoyed the festivities. She and Solomon love each other. It just amazes me how they know each other even though they don't see each other all the time.
